Become a

Yes, I ripped this lovely logo because that's what I do. I'm also giving a bit of thought to not posting stuff which I would normally post on boards but which is more either off the wall or over the top. I'm just warming to the task so I'm hopeful those who are already there will have a modicum of patience with me, I'm told this one's gunna go PLATINUM.

So although I haven't been blogging much here, I have been busy elsewhere.

The kids on the other side, I have to say, are my knights in shining armour. If I keep saying this over there, they'll get sick of it. But last week after the dog died and I found myself in a bit of a mess, Codester was there and he sat patiently and listened.

Then the others all came to the party - Anton, Will, Oli, Chris and Josh. What an awesome bunch of people they are; matter-of-fact, down to earth, mostly grumpy (except Josh), and all very spirited.

They don't push agendas, they don't have ulterior motives, they don't accept hucksterism or any other form of bullshit, they call a spade a spade, they say what they think - not what they think anyone else wants to hear, they're not p.c. wankers or social butterflies. They're all genuinely intelligent and they are interested and interesting people - and I love them all so very very much.

As for Meankids, that's another project of Chris Locke's. That's why I don't want to disappoint the masses who should trot along there for a dose of turkey slapping of the status quo. I have this weird notion that I could drop into Cheriville for subject matter then disappear with the subjects off on some tangent or other and splot the result in Meankids. Better that than trot out the same old anti-establishment corollary which I used to blatt in The Swamp. The Boy has expanded his repertoire quite considerably since I last left a deposit there.

I also got invited (or more accurately, wooed) to looking over a particular site where all the really disinterested badasses go to disabuse all life as we know it. Talk about hyperactive! Will's a goldmine when it comes to the alternative culture. Uncyclopedia was a link he gave me about 15 months ago. Check it out if you're curious.

That's something I wish I had the know-how to create. Messageboards and blogs are one thing, but Uncyclopedia is hysterical. Pure genius. My powers of imagination are infinitessimal compared to those of the people who put that lot up.

Ah well, I can but try and there are so many inspirational people to emulate.
